Sterling: As is the nature of sterling to tarnish, always take care to store silver pieces in sealable plastic bags or wrapped in anti-tarnish cloths. When sterling is combined with pearls, be careful as the polishing compounds are very detrimental to pearls. Pearls: Be careful to avoid contact with lotions, perfumes and hairspray. Pearls increase in luster when you wear them over time (skin oils are good for them!). Crystal: Swarovski crystal requires very little care. Fingerprints are usually the only blemish they attract. Once in awhile, wash crystal in mild soap and water and gently dry with a soft cloth.
